the weekend was all love.

mike took me to arrogant butcher. i finally sold a camera i had been meaning too. i went up a tiny mountain. i thought up a new cocktail recipe while trying to come up with a new poptail (cocktail + popsicle) recipe. mike found an outfit for the wedding, and i found a top to go with my handmade sheer skirt. oh, and mike ordered us both new toms. AND we put up a green lovelife heart in a spot mike had his eyes on forever and ever.

my dad is still in the hospital! so fucking stressy, i am hoping by next week, he’ll be resting at home. he is going to be doing intensive physical therapy this week.. then? maybe he’ll be strong enough to go home. my sister texted this morning that he ate a 3rd of a burrito she took him. good, good, good sign. he has pretty much refused or not eaten more than 400 calories a day for awhile. i am going to bring him some beef stew i made this afternoon.

oh! we leave for NY in 11 days. omgGOSH, freak out. i can’t fucking believe it. i am so excited.

i’ve been busy adjusting to not going to school. it has been great. i love the summer! i am such a women-child. it’s good i still consider myself a girl.

my super hot boyfriend put up BABE for me when i was asleep one morning. i had designed it months ago for something else. i don’t even remember what at this point. ooohh, it was going to be used for my sex collection. yes, oh yes. i am still working on that, not really “working”, but it’s marinating in major ways. i wanted that collection done by august, but that’ll never happen. that’s okay.

also, i’ve been redeveloping antigirl. it’s weird. i’ve had my site for almost half my life now. yeah, what in the fuck. when i started making sites, i didn’t have wordpress or indexhibit or anything like that. after a few years, cuban council let me use the one they had designed for their big fancy clients. it was like heaven. and i didn’t really update and i didn’t really do anything after awhile. well i made work. and i showed that work in a really dumb downed sort of way. now going forward i am realizing i did lose some time there but because i kept working on art/projects/design/etc my muscle and ability got a lot stronger. taking a break from the web site bullshit – was a good thing for me and what i needed.

going forward i am bringing antigirl back up to web standards of today and tomorrow and i am also going to incorporate other projects that i have always been asked about but never really shown from step one to finished. i’m excited for it. so yeah, that’s what i’ve been doing on my summer vacation (although i’ve been taking client work/projects, oh, do you have anything? + 9 credits this summer) #nevernotworking

i lost that award, but my hair and make up looked amazing (thank you roxanne at the root and jessica at mac) and mike looked handsome as ever.

i always prepare for the worst while expecting the best. after we left the award ceremony, we went to a gas station where i ran in to get a pack of smokes (i quit in 09). the man at the counter said ‘hey! weren’t you just in new times?’, ‘uh yah i lost that thing.. can i get a pack of camel number 9?’ (uncomfortable), him, “oh yeah i just knew it was you from your tattoos..”

we went to a dive bar, and afterwards, we put up that heart. and the people we were sharing pitchers with thought we were full of shit….. (about putting up that LOVELIFE piece)

oh!! on friday night, we saw talib kweli and jean grae. it was too good for words. black. girl. pain.

i added some installations and some pictures of walls.

oh#2, the new atmosphere is great. we see them in may.
