my roots are platinum again and all nervous energy is gone. kind of. i need to buy more pants because public transportation and skirts are not so friendly. especially if i am not wearing stockings. i also need more shoes that are flat. i have been listening to a lot of atmosphere (pour me another) lately and now i regret not going to his show in may. but by the time the show started i was so fucked up i didn't know who i was and it was cinco de drinko and we started drinking in the early afternoon. only now am i realizing the irony of any of this. next time.

thanksgiving menu:
turkey (provence - herbs and citrus)
cornbread dressing
yukon gold mashed potatoes
stuffed (pecans & brown sugar) sweet potatoes
bourbon pumpkin pie
(other stuff too but i cannot remember. those are just the important parts of the menu)

some guy once asked me why i wore a wish bone around my neck. i responded, i like thanksgiving, of course. oh god. i cannot wait.
